In 2024, scammers are becoming increasingly sophisticated, leveraging new technologies and exploiting current events to deceive unsuspecting victims. Advancements in technology, such as AI applications, make scammers even more innovative in their approach to ripping people off. Pig Butchering and QR Code scams came to my attention recently in the following articles and I am once again reminded that we need to remain ever vigilant in our efforts to avoid becoming victims of financial scams and identity fraud.
