As part of our ongoing effort to strengthen our investment process, we want to share an update regarding the Strategic Asset Management (SAM) portfolios used in some client accounts.
Expanding Our Investment Resources
We recently engaged Horizon Investments as a strategic consultant. Horizon provides institutional-level research and asset allocation guidance, adding an additional layer of analytical support to our portfolio management process and enhancing the resources working on behalf of our clients.
What Is Not Changing
Importantly, our core investment philosophy is not changing.
Your established risk level remains the same, there are no additional fees, and we will continue using a diversified multi-manager approach. Your financial plan and long-term objectives remain the foundation of every investment decision.
What You May Notice
Over the coming days, there may be some refinements within the SAM portfolios, including:
Adjustments to equity and fixed income exposure
Updates to certain underlying managers or positions
More structured portfolio rebalancing
These updates are designed to further strengthen diversification and risk management.
Our Implementation Approach
All changes will be implemented thoughtfully and, for taxable accounts, in a tax-aware manner. No action is required from clients, and we will reach out directly if any adjustments are expected to meaningfully impact an individual situation.
Questions or Want to Learn More?
If you would like to review these updates in more detail, we would be happy to schedule a time to discuss them.
As always, we appreciate the trust our clients place in our team.
Diversification does not ensure a profit or protect against loss in declining markets
.All investing involves risk, including possible loss of principal.
Horizon Investments is a separate entity and is not affiliated with LPL Financial or Investment & Insurance Planning Services, LLC.
