Good Morning,
Undoubtedly, it has been a rough quarter for investors and the stock market is off to one of the worst starts since 1970. This month’s client update will be done in live format on July 20th at 12 pm EST via a Zoom webinar. We have arranged for Brian Tatom, VP at JP Morgan Asset Management to share his firm’s perspective with us and answer your questions. He will present a mid-year economic and investment update using select slides from their most recent Guide to The Market which is linked below. I have relied on this data for over a decade and found Dr. David Kelly’s team at JPM to be a reliable, credible, and trustworthy source of information. I highly encourage you to attend as I know that this will be an informative and timely event. Please RSVP by July 19th. I will send the Zoom link in another email closer to the presentation. Feel free to pass this opportunity along to anyone whom you think would be interested.
This Really Happened
Last month I was away in Atlanta for a weekend for my son’s basketball tournament. When I got up on Saturday morning to take the boys to the gym and went to start my car but it sounded like it was going to blow up. Never heard anything like it except my first car in 1989, a classic 1979 Ford Fairmont Wagon that I nicknamed the blue bomber, LOL. Long story short, some thugs cut off my catalytic converters, oxygen sensors, and muffler system. $3,800 IN DAMAGES! And they do these hit jobs in minutes with an electric saw. Fortunately, insurance covered most of the damages, but it was a major inconvenience as I was stranded in Atlanta for four extra days while Pep Boys rounded up the parts. The upside was that I was able to visit with a couple of my dear clients whom I haven’t seen in a while. In follow-up conversations about this event, I learned of an Enterprise location with 17 of these hacks, a Toyota dealership hit for 22, and a landscaping company was hit twice for 17. Linked below is an article where you can learn more and learn some steps to protect yourself.
Cautionary Request
We are never too busy for your inquiries! Never think that you are a bother to question anything that you are unsure about. We recently discovered a couple of situations that we needed to interfere with to correct a problem that clients weren’t sure of but checked with us just in case. I will spare you the details but if you receive correspondence or emails about something that’s not clear to you then please reach out and make an inquiry to our office. The best way to be heard right away is to call or email the office at 407-542-3249 or service@davidblountIIPS.com. This gets your inquiry in front of my team right away as sometimes I am in meetings. We are here for you and appreciate your business!
